Things to Do in Bella Vista, Arkansas
Bella Vista is about 35 minutes south of Stage Stop Campground — one of the more interesting communities in northwest Arkansas.
The Trails
One of the most extensive municipal trail networks in Arkansas — hundreds of miles of multi-use trails through hilly Ozarks terrain. The trails connect to the broader NWA network from Bella Vista all the way to Fayetteville. The Back 40 Trail is a regional classic — 40 miles of singletrack spanning the Missouri-Arkansas border.
The Lakes
Seven lakes within city limits, primarily for fishing and non-motorized boating. Lake Windsor, Lake Norwood, and Lake Avalon are the most popular. Fishing access at most of them.
Golf
Multiple courses at reasonable rates throughout the city — worth knowing for golfers.
The Character
Quiet, well-maintained, organized around the outdoor environment. Pleasant to spend time in even without a specific agenda.
