John Wesley Hardin was a Texas gunfighter and outlaw. He is believed to have killed over 40 men, making him one of the most prolific gunslingers of the Old West. He was captured, served 17 years in prison, studied law while incarcerated, and was admitted to the bar — though his violent past ultimately caught up with him.
